Program Development

Script Strategies creates the blueprint, organizes the development, and assists in the implementation of pharmacy benefit, clinical, and/or pharmacoeconomic programs. Program Development can be looked at from these different aspects:

  • Rebate, Formulary, and Preferred Drug Lists
  • Pharmacy Networks
  • Maximum Allowable Cost (MAC) Lists
  • Clinical Programs
  • Client Satisfaction Surveys
  • Discount Cards

Rebate, Formulary, and Preferred Drug Lists - are developed through the negotiation of contracts and administration of the program for products contained on a formulary or preferred drug list. Script Strategies will review existing contracts, perform clinical and financial analyses, complete pricing definitions, select categories and manufacturers, review current methodology, analyze processes related to collection and payment, and negotiate final pricing and contractual obligations as well as ultimately construct and develop the drug lists themselves.

Pharmacy Networks - can be difficult to develop and manage, whether regional or national. However, by using its expertise, Script Strategies can build best in class networks of independent and chain pharmacies on behalf of its clients. With the strength of larger pharmacy networks, organizations can become more competitive and can attain better rates, generating savings and satisfaction. Script Strategies develops, maintains, and updates pharmacy network functions including pricing models, new contract drafting and review, negotiations, and administration.

Maximum Allowable Cost (MAC) Lists - are provided to help establish more aggressive generic pricing and as a result higher generic savings. Script Strategies updates MAC lists on a monthly basis and thorough documentation, negotiation, and administration is provided as part of this service.

Clinical Programs - including pharmacy and therapeutics committees, drug utilization review programs, step therapy programs, prior authorization programs, and disease state management programs are researched, developed, and administered to help organizations achieve therapeutic and fiscal excellence.

Client Satisfaction Surveys - are created by Script Strategies to help an organization gain objective feedback regarding services. Thorough work is completed from start to finish including research, development, distribution, tabulation, analysis, and statistical reporting to give a detailed snapshot on not only consumer patterns and utilization but their overall motivation and satisfaction.

Discount Card Programs - are also available for Medicare endorsed or non-Medicare endorsed programs. Script Strategies provides complete development from network creation to material design and distribution.

With all services, Script Strategies continues to advise and evaluate programs even after they are implemented. This creates continuous operating efficiencies in core pharmacy services to provide distinct advantages to its clients. Through its extensive range of program development services, Script Strategies is continuously building innovative pharmacy solutions.
