Auditing

Script Strategies offers an independent, unbiased approach to audit and compliance programs, looking at all aspects of pharmacy healthcare to determine areas of risk as well as contractual obligations. Auditing can be looked at from these different aspects:

Pharmacy Audits - are provided to determine if contractual obligations and guidelines are being followed. This includes pricing, dispensing of medications to meet clinical guidelines, as well as proper processing of claims. If items are discovered which violate agreements, Script Strategies will help facilitate recovery and filing of appropriate documentation.

Pharmacy Benefit Management Audits - can be completed to determine if an organization is complying with contractual obligations, including pricing. Areas of operational efficiencies can be determined and in some cases, monies recovered for services not completed or obligations not met.

Contract Review - includes drafting, analyzing, and negotiating contracts with brokers, vendors, consultants, pharmacies, Pharmacy Benefit Managers, manufacturers, administrators, managers, plans, employer groups, and pharmacy networks. After a thorough review, Script Strategies provides feedback and recommendation as to language within a contract, pricing guarantees, and how best to negotiate the contract. Federal and State Regulations - can be confusing and voluminous. Script Strategies takes this work on to relieve its clients of the burden. Client operations are reviewed to determine if they are in compliance with Federal and State Regulations including HIPAA and privacy laws. Public sector audits are offered and Script Strategies can even build complete compliance programs.

Dispensing Analysis - is offered and with it Script Strategies can determine utilization and better resulting plan designs as well as determine if any fraud or abuse is occurring. Through review of plan designs, optimal approaches to clinical programs can be identified, which can lead to savings for clients and their customers.

Financial Analysis - reviews cost data, savings, and utilization through an internal audit of cash flows and can help provide insight into managing the bottom line. In addition, detailed reports and summary sheets can be provided. This is especially important in developing contracts, designs or plan recommendations.

Clinical Reviews - provide information on compliance to formulary or drug lists, dispensing cost analyses, and potential duplicate billing information. Comparative analyses of therapeutic entities are provided as well as a review of data on file from drug manufacturers.
